The Root of All Profession

Future

There is always that someone who catches our attention. Probably someone phenomenal for our eyes, or maybe someone that inspires us in a way that we want to be like them in the future. Perhaps some of us wants to be an Engineer, a Pilot, or even a Policeman someday. But for me, there’s this profession that inspired me a lot. A profession that captured and enabled me to help others in pursuing their dreams and unlocking their God given gifts.

Back when I was in High School, there is this person that inspired me the most. The person that unlocked and gave birth to my dream of becoming a teacher. He was the reason why I pursue this dream. He showed me the way, the path to walk on. I can still recall the day when we first met this preceptor of ours. At first, I was like, “Who is this guy?”. So tall, fit, and somehow have the body and the appearance of an athlete or some kind of a Basketball player or something. He doesn’t look like a teacher to me, until suddenly he started talking and talking. Wow! I was really stunned! He is far more greater in the inside than the outside. His outer appearance doesn’t match with his internal being. I judged and doubted him (sorry sir if you’re currently reading this haha) but he was able to motivate and inspire me through the quotes he share with us everyday. But there’s this one quote that hitted me the most that until now, I can still recall the words exactly how he said it: “One is enough and two is too much and three is a poison that can kill a person”. This quote helps me a lot in my daily living. It’s like telling me that we were only given one enough life to live here on Earth, that we can’t live our life twice, and that every time we are given chances and opportunities, we should always seize and make the most out of it. Leave no room for doubts, laziness, and fear, for a one great opportunity doesn’t come to us often. Everybody dies but not everybody lives. Those inspirations and motivations that he gave created a big impact in my life which made me want to be like him. A person who will also teach other people, and who will be the root of his students’ dreams and profession. Maybe it will not be me, but because of my students’ dreams. I don’t know. Maybe one of them, when given a right track and a right motivation, will be the one to start change which will revolutionize the world with his right intentions and right thinking. And when that day comes, I’ll be that person who will be proud to say that “the guy who changed and revolutionized the world was my former student”.
In life, it doesn’t matter who you are or what your appearance is. What matters the most is who you are inside. As long as you have the guts, the heart, and the passion, there’s no doubts you can reach your goals and dreams no matter how high they are. You must be resilient and you should always believe in yourself and don’t let the other people put you down. Trust in God and only focus towards your dream. Even David beat Goliath who was five times bigger and heavier than him. Goliath may win from the outside but David is the champion in the inside.

It ain’t about how hard you hit it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward that’s how winning is done. – Sylvester Stallone
